Where the Cyclades
Got Their Name

The Cyclades are named for the circle of islands that surrounds Delos, the sacred birthplace of the gods Apollo and Artemis in Greek mythology. This central island was a hub of ancient worship, and the islands around it formed a protective ring — a ‘cyclade’ in Greek. Each island carries its own stories and legends, but together they celebrate the myth and magic that made the Cyclades a place of light, sea, and timeless culture.
